We will help people around the world strengthen relationships between families and friends through creativity and worthwhile accomplishments.
The statement above is one of Stampin' Up!'s four vision goals, a collection of important goals that we identified as an organization years ago and have been steadily working toward ever since. Last week, Stampin' Up! celebrated a major milestone in our history and a significant step toward accomplishing this vision goal by entering the United Kingdom, Germany, and France.
Twenty years ago, when Shelli first started Stampin' Up!, her goals were not quite so lofty; she was simply looking to find friends who enjoyed stamping and to add to our family income a bit. However, the exciting success we've enjoyed over the past two decades has been gratifying and rewarding--and has reinforced what Shelli truly believes: the most important thing in life is our relationships. Stampin' Up! allows us to be creative and share that creativity with others in a way that creates and strengthens relationships.
We are grateful for the opportunity we now have to start developing wonderful relationships with demonstrators and customers in these new countries. This exciting growth means continued growth and success in all our markets. And know that, as we move forward in achieving our vision goals, we remain absolutely committed to our existing markets. The financial resources used to expand into other countries are not taken from funds budgeted to support and grow our markets in the US and Canada.
As we work together to succeed and accomplish our goals, we will always focus on strengthening relationships. This unique approach is one of the things that sets us apart from other direct-sales companies, and it's a philosophy that will not change. Together, we are offering an incredible opportunity to express creativity, share it with others, and strengthen relationships at the same time.
